From 21 to 24 September Douro and Vouga will host our brand new 200-Mile race in a completely new format. This is a no-fee race. Register to get a chance to take part in this adventure. Our committee will analyze and decide which athletes and teams will get to Portugal. The winner of the Joe Nimble Douro e Vouga race will be coronated world champion.

ABOUT THE RACE

One Hundred World Championship 200 Mile Joe Nimble Douro e Vouga is more than a race. Is an unique ultra-trail adventure where you will challenge yourself on the breath-taking famous Portuguese circular route Montanhas Mágicas (GR60). More than 50% of the race will be held inside the Arouca Geopark, one of the UNESCO Global Geoparks.

We are thrilled to have Joe Nimble as our title sponsor for this Race.

The race will take place on a region that perfectly combines nature, culture and history.

During your stay you will be able to see medieval sights, local craftsmanship, museums, wineries while enjoying the heavenly local gastronomy.

The Douro region is worldwide famous by their wine, especially Porto Wine that has been seen at the table of kings, artists, and even James Bond. This region also has the world’s oldest Protected Designation of Origin – since 1756 – producing some of the world’s finest wines.

REGULATION

⚠️ All competitors must have a support crew throughout the entire race. The support must consist of at least one person and one vehicle.

During this endurance 200 Mile race you will follow the GR60 (Montanhas Magicas Grand Route) across the beautiful portuguese landscape.

The race can be carried out either individually or in relay teams of 2 to 4 runners. See regulation for more information.

⚠️ The race is GPS guided and will follow the GR60 route, not by trail markers. A GPS to navigate is mandatory.

During this endurance 200-Mile race you will follow the GR60 (Montanhas Magicas Grand Route) across the beautiful portuguese landscape.
